Tandalachi Bhakri & Tomato Aamti

This recipe is for Tandalachi bhakri
Time: 15-20 Minutes
Makes 5 -6  Bhakries

Ingredients:-
1)2 cup rice Flour

2) Water

3) Salt as per taste

How to make Rice Bhakri-Step-by-Step Recipe

Method:-
1.)Firstly boil water.

2.)Take rice flour in a plate add boiled water, salt and keep kneading for 10 minutes until dough becomes nice smooth.

3.)If needed add little water.

4.)Shape the dough into 2 inch round balls.

5.)Dust some dry rice flour on the palte.

6.)Start patting the ball into circle shape by using palm and finger for making bhakri.

7.)On a heated tava put bhakri on high flame.

8.)Be careful while putting the bhakri on tava dusted side should be at upper side.

9.)Spread little water on bhakri.

10.)Flip it and roast from both sides.

11.)Now simmer the  flame and put the bhakri directly on the flame to further roast it from both the sides with the help of hand. This technique helps tandalachi bhakri to puff up nicely.

12.)Repeat the process for the remaining dough.

13.)Serve hot with any curry or vegetables.

Follow this recipe given below for tomato aamti /tomato saar:-
Light gravy with subtle flavours...if your looking for a replacement for your regular dal..then give this a try...this Maharashtrian tomato amti is between Tomato Saar.

Ingredients:
1.)1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2.)1/4 tsp haldi powder
3.)1/2 tsp kashmiri mirch powder
4.)1/2 tsp red chilli powder
5.)1 tablespoon jaggery
6.)salt to taste
7.)1 tablespoon  ghee(clarified butter)
8.)1 & 1/2 cup water
9.)5 to 6 curry leaves
10.)1 tsp mustard seeds
11.)1 tsp cumin seeds
12.)1 tablespoon Coriander leaves( for garnish)

To be blended into paste:
1.)1/4 cup freshly grated coconut
2.)1 cup tomatoes
3.)1/2 tsp coriander seeds
4.)3 cloves of garlic
5.)2 tbsp water

Method:
1.)Blend together freshly grated coconut, tomatoes, coriander seeds and garlic into a fine paste.

2.)Heat a kadai, add ghee. Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle then add cumin seeds & now  onion and cook on a low medium flame till onion turns pink in colour.

3.)Then add ginger garlic paste & saute for a min or so then add  curry leaves .

4.)Now add tomato paste mixture and mix well. Let the paste  cook well.

5.)Add kashmiri mirch powder, red chilli powder, haldi powder and mix well. let the masala cook for a minute.

6.)Add water and bring to a boil on medium flame.

7.)Add jaggery and salt and cook till done.

8.)Garnish the tomato aamti/tomato saar with a generous helping of coriander leaves .

9.)Serve hot with rice or tandalachi bhakri!!!!

Tips:
*You can temper this Aamti with oil too.

*You can add few pieces of potato in this Amti, it taste really good.

*The coconut paste has to be blended into a very fine paste.

*Increase the amount of tomato if you want a tangy flavour!!!!

*If you want you can add little tamrind paste to increase the  tangy flavour.
