Watermelon granita

Watermelon has always been a sweet summer stapleThis granita version is sure to please kids and parents alike. And its looks are like any gourmet dish enough to impress even the fanciest of the company. The lemon and sugar bring out the natural flavours of the watermelon.
Its ice texture is so refreshing that it will satisfy your sugar craving without being bloated or overfilling you. So we recommend you to try this at home .

A few lazy stirs as this granita sets up in the freezer is really the only tricky thing about this easy and refreshing dessert. It’s also a perfect midafternoon cooler for a vacation house full of children.You just will need three ingredients for it and you are good to go to make it. 




Ingredients :
1) 2 cups watermelon chopped
2) 2 tablespoons sugar
3)2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method:
1. Cut about 2 cups watermelon roughly (don't discard the rind).
2. Put them in a blender with 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and blend until the mixture liquefies. 
3. Pour the mixture into a shallow glass or ceramic pan, and freeze for about 5 to 6 hours or overnight.
4. After it is frozen, break  the ice crystals with a fork or scrapper or you can even grind it in a mixer. 
5. It should be slushy and crunchy.
6. Garnish with mint leaves.
