Flax seeds chutney(जवसाची चटणी)

Flax seeds podi or flax seeds chutney powder or spice powder. Flax seeds are considered to be one of the top health foods in the market today. These are called as avisa ginjalu in telugu, Agase in kannada , Jawas in marati, and Alsi in hindi. These seeds are high in omega 3 fatty acids, fiber, alpha-linolenic acid and lignans. They are said to protect human body from cancer and heart disease, reduce cholesterol and helps to manage type 2 diabetes and also in weight loss.

Ingredients:-
1.)1 cup flax seeds
2.)1 tablespoon cumin seeds
3.)4 to 5 garlic cloves
4.)1 tsp red chilli powder
5.)Salt as per taste

How to make flax seeds chutney:-
1.)Dry roast flax seeds lightly on a medium flame. Set aside to a plate to cool.

2.)Add flax seeds, cumin, garlic,red chilli powder along with salt.

3.) Powder them. Do not blend till the flax seeds turns hot, it will begin to ooze out oil and turns lumpy.

4.)If your mixer is not very powerful, then powder the flax seeds & cumin seeds first to fine powder and then add salt,red chilli powder,garlic cloves & again pulse it till everything well combines.

5.)Store flax seeds chutney in an air tight glass jar and refrigerate. Flax seeds powder keeps best if refrigerated.
