Murmura Chivada/pufffed rice chivada
Ingredients:
1.)3 cups puffed rice
2.)1/2 tsp mustard seeds (rai)
3.)1/2 tsp cumin seeds (zeera)
4.)8 to 9 garlic cloves
5.)2-3 green chillies roundly chopped
6.)10 - 12 curry leaves
7.)2 tbsp dalia (split roasted chickpeas)
8.)2 tbsp raw groundnuts
9.)1/4 tsp haldi
10.)salt to taste
11.)1 tsp sugar
12.)1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder
13.)2 tablespoon oil
Method:
1.)In a kadhai heat some oil and once hot add the mustard seeds. Once they start crackling add the cumin seeds and asafoetida and then green chillies and curry leaves. Stir and after a while till the curry leaves and chillies start changing color.
2.)Now add the garlic cloves & sauté for a min then add raw peanuts, stir fry for a o minute or so and then add the dalia. Keep stirring intermittently till the dalia turns light brown and the both groundnuts and dalia are crunchy and cooked.
3.)Now add haldi ,red chilli powder and stir the mixture for a minute and then add the roasted puffed rice, salt and sugar.
4.)Mix everything well. Switch of the gas and allow the mixture to cool and then store in airtight container.
